Climate Change

Global climate change is a catastrophe that will come! We already know why - the man who constantly uses fuel derived from fossils such as coal, petroleum and natural gas.

We already know some of this due to global warming - the melting of polar ice caps, rising oceans, severe droughts, the spread of pestilence, massive flooding, coral bleaching and large storm waves. We already know who will be hit hardest - coastal State, the State islands, and areas of less developed countries such as Southeast Asia.

Over the years we have continuously release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere by using fuel derived from fossil such as coal, natural gas and oil. This has led to increasing natural blanket the world, the increasing temperature towards the world's climate, and climate change can not be predicted, too deadly. Greenpeace believes that only by-step reduction of greenhouse gas emissions are systematic and can prevent radical climate change that could cause further damage to the ecosystems of the world and the people who live in it.

As an international global organization, Greenpeace focuses on the two sides are affecting society and the holders of the dangers behind the decision mining and use of fuels derived from fossils. As a regional organization, Greenpeace Southeast Asia as a witness to focus directly on the consequences of global climate change, and increase public awareness about the ongoing problems. Greenpeace SEA is also trying to seek changes in energy use policies in Southeast Asia in the future - that is moving from dependence on fossil fuel use towards the sources of renewable energy, clean and sustainable.

Climate Campaign tactics and confront the challenge of energy is the fuel industry have come from fossils - in particular, power plants and coal burning-based energy-producing nuclear - while, at the same time to voice and promote solutions to fuel dependence that comes from fossils. For example, GreenpeaceSEA promote policies and projects that can produce cheap energy derived from wind and solar energy, and advocates for alternative energy efficiency.
